Department Of Computer Science
The Department of Computer Science was started in 1997 and is proactively involved in imparting quality education and creating professionals who are potent enough to meet any challenge. The department has a superlative infrastructure for labs and libraries and also has well experienced faculty members. The department has given major thrust to strengthen and expand the activities in this area.
In order to keep up with the national vision and to meet the contemporary needs of the industry, the department not only runs undergraduate and postgraduate programs but has also started high quality research and development program. With a more programming-intensive curriculum than usual and a support structure providing all the non academic support along with great recreational facilities, students give the department a dynamic character and an active culture towards Computer Science, guided by their faculty.
The faculty plays an important role in the teaching-learning process. Many among them bring to us the diverse perspective of contemporary industrial priorities and practices. Amongst the visiting faculty, many are alumni of the Department and occupy senior positions in the industry. They take time from their busy schedules to teach us because a feeling of gratitude and devotion comes towards an institution that has given them a sound education. This attitude is infectious, and motivates us to go beyond our own self imposed limits.
